Exhibition of the 2018 art prize
The new art season at the Haus am Kleistpark begins with the awarding of the art prize, featuring Euro 5,000 in prize money and an exhibition of the nominees‘ work at the HAUS am KLEISTPARK entitled "Transition". 515 artists entered the Haus am Kleistpark art prize, which this year will be awarded for the 16th time within the framework of the municipal funding of artists. The announcement of the winner‘s name will be made on the evening of the opening.
The independent jury chaired by Dr. Sabine Ziegenrücker named the following 18 artists in the shortlist: Viktor Brim, Pierre Descamps, Thilo Droste, Cécile Dupaquier, Nadine Fecht, Francisca Gómez, Hannah Hallermann, Sonja Hamad, Pauline Kraneis, Steffi Lindner/Lyoudmila Milanova, Simon Menner, Florian Neufeldt, Claudia Reinhardt, Fiene Scharp, Arne Schreiber, Marie Strauß, Benedikt Terwiel. On show will be works from photography, installation, conceptual art, painting, sculpture and video.
