TIME LOOPS
Anett Stuth
With her photographic works, Anett Stuth reflects on the sublimity and simultaneous destruction of nature. In this exhibition, she shows photographic de/collages of pieces of nature, plant and animal objects as well as remains from the recent and prehistoric past. In the photographic collages, Anett Stuth puts together historical and current visual materials and relates them to our contemporary civilisation. In the large-format photographs of animal and plant objects, on the other hand, the artist removes all superfluous information from the images. Detached from origin and time, the photographed objects seem like mute, frozen witnesses of transient diversity. In their creative interplay, Anett Stuth opens up new spaces of thought in which the linear succession of events is suspended and a recursive concatenation in the form of time loops becomes visible.
