The photo artist Jessica Backhaus focuses on everyday objects and situations in a fascinating interplay between the depiction of reality and enigmatic abstraction. With unusual perspectives and a free play with materials, she creates collages, staged still lifes and minimalist, subtle experiments with colour and light. On display are works from recent years, including previously unpublished photographs from the new series "The Nature of Things" (2023) with colour-intensive impressions of her surroundings and nature.
