subversiv – Exhibition of the 2019 art prize
The new art season at the Haus am Kleistpark begins with the awarding of the art prize, featuring Euro 5,000 in prize money and an exhibition of the nominees‘ work at the Haus am Klesitpark entitled "subversiv". 253 artists entered the Haus am Kleistpark art prize, which this year will be awarded for the 17th time within the framework of the municipal funding of artists. Prize winner is Frank Jimin Hopp.
The independent jury chaired by Dr. Stefanie Heckmann named the following 18 artists in the shortlist:
Norbert Bauer/Ralf Tekaat, Nadja Bournonville, Astrid Busch, Yvon Chabrowski, Eva Dittrich, Janine Eggert, Myriam El Haïk, Jens Hanke, Frank Jimin Hopp, Stephanie Keitz, Christin Lahr, Patricia Morosan, Brigitte Waldach, Jonas Paul Wilisch und Andrea Winkler. On show will be works from photography, installation, conceptual art, painting, sculpture and video.
