Ornaments
Collages and Wall Works by Claudio D’Ambrosio
The ornament is an archetypal form of art that creates identity. Structures that arise within a grid, their repetition in the form of a monotonous recurrence of the same old thing, correspond to a human need for order and abstraction. Fine differences and irregularities in colour and line as well as the ambivalence of form and space are deviations from order and play an important role in Claudio D'Ambrosio's works.
