Ute Hoffritz
The Berlin sculptor Ute Hoffritz shows works from recent years. They span a range of different materials and working methods: from concrete casts to papier-mâché and clay. What they have in common is the fluctuation between well thought-out, abstract form and the need for spontaneous, intuitive handling of the material. Hoffritz's latest works are moulded from clay. They are torso-like structures or vessel-like, biomorphic structures with openings in the surface that reflect the experience of the resilience and vulnerability of life.
