Manfred Paul's photography deals with existential questions of the human condition. They are images that become parables to understand the passing of all things in life. In this exhibition Manfred Paul shows photographs that he took during stays abroad in Romania (1978), Paris (1988) and India (1989). The works are presented in Berlin for the first time.
Manfred Paul is considered one of the most renowned photographers from the former GDR. His pictures also show the extent to which political and social conditions are reflected in the artist's view of the world.
